China's first large aircraft orders have been formed

source:本站/reprinted time :2022-10-06

The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China) received a start-up order for 100 C919 large passenger aircraft at the Zhuhai Air Show yesterday. This indicates that China has confirmed its first batch of customers and orders for domestically-made large passenger aircraft with independent intellectual property rights. The large aircraft that has invested heavily in research and development will enter the market and compete with Boeing and Airbus for share. The development of the C919 large passenger aircraft project adopts the "main manufacturer-supplier" model. At present, 13 international aviation manufacturing companies have been selected as C919 large passenger aircraft airborne equipment suppliers. The main suppliers of airframe structure, power plant, system equipment, materials and standard parts have been determined one after another, and the Chinese civil aircraft industry chain has been initially formed. The first batch of C919 customers are mainly large Chinese airlines, including Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, and HNA, as well as GE Capital Aviation Service. It is understood that the C919 aircraft will form a series of extended, shortened, cargo, special, and business models based on the basic model. The price of the aircraft is therefore different. COMAC was established in May 2008 and is headquartered in Shanghai. It is the main body of the implementation of China's large passenger aircraft project. It is mainly engaged in the scientific research, production, test flight of civil aircraft and related products, and civil aircraft sales and services, leasing and operation. . As of the end of 2008, China had 1,259 commercial aircraft. From January to September this year, the number of passengers in China on airplanes reached 270 million, an increase of 18%. The Boeing Company of the United States predicts that by 2029, China may need to add 4330 commercial aircraft, making it the second largest civil aviation market in the world after the United States. The self-developed large aircraft will not only gain a share of the huge Chinese and international aviation market, but will also greatly improve the Chinese military’s ability to project. Before the establishment of COMAC, the government established the R&D concept of "one project, two models, military and civilian planning, and series development". This means that China will develop two types of large transport aircraft and large passenger aircraft at the same time. The large aircraft project must fully meet the needs of military transport aircraft, civil cargo aircraft and civilian aircraft.
